Stephen James Mack has been a Pastor and Teacher in the City of Boston since 1983. Under Pastor Mack’s visionary leadership, the Pentecostals of Boston has become one of the most unique congregations in Metro Boston. The congregation has developed from a small home-based group of five members, into a thriving multi-generational, multi-cultural fellowship having more than one hundred and twenty followers of Christ. During his work in the City of Boston, Pastor Mack has touched the lives of many thousands of people. A native of Binghamton, New York, Pastor Mack has received all his ministerial training in the City of Boston, under the mentorship of the late Rev. Denver L Stanford, who was a pioneer of the Apostolic Faith in New England. Reverend Mack has studied at the Apostolic Christian College and Massasoit Community College, where he received advanced ministerial and management training, and is presently a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International. Stephen has served for many years as the Massachusetts – Rhode Island District Men’s Director, and in years past, has served as Youth Secretary for a thriving, New England Youth Organization.
Pastor Mack is a community activist and neighborhood representative and he has received numerous awards for his many years of outstanding efforts. These include the Mayor Thomas Menino Gun Buy Back (program) Award, Inner-city Teen Activity Award and The Boston Inner-City Peace Award. Stephen has also served on numerous Boards and Committees focusing on the needs of the Young People of Metro Boston. These organizations range from the Likes of Roxbury YMCA, to the Boston Neighborhood Baseball League, and many others. Stephen has also volunteered many thousands of hours of his personal time in various youth activities, for the past twenty-five years he has been both Head Coach, and an Asst. Coach, both in his hometown of Boston, or his current home of Stoughton, Mass. whether as a Director of a successful Chess Club, Basketball, Baseball, Football, etc. Pastor Mack has the Unique Ability to Minister to and be a mentor of many of the Metro Boston area youths.
Pastor Mack currently serves on the Board of Directors of a very prominent non-profit organization dealing with the needs of mothers who have lost children to violent crime, or the loss of children due to incarceration, this organization is called Mothers with Courage. Rev. Mack had the incredible honor of being elected by his adopted hometown of Stoughton, Mass, to serve one term as a Town Meeting Representative. Pastor Mack has been married for twenty-six years and he and his wife are the proud parents of four children, who are also very active in their local church and community. In addition to pastoring, his local congregation Reverend Mack travels throughout the United States and the Caribbean, preaching, teaching and mentoring disciples for the Lord.
